Free Markdown to PDF Converter

Large language models like ChatGPT and Claude reply in Markdown — headings, bold text, bullet lists, tables and code blocks. That looks great in the chat window, but when you paste it into an email, a doc or a print job, the raw #, * and | symbols come along for the ride. This tool turns that Markdown into a clean, properly formatted PDF you can send, print or archive — and it does it without ever uploading your text.

Paste your Markdown (or open a .md file), pick a page size, margins and theme on the right, and download a real PDF with selectable text and working links — not a blurry screenshot. The Download PDF button uses your browser's built-in print-to-PDF, so headings, tables, fenced code blocks, task lists and strikethrough all render faithfully and stay searchable. Need a pixel-perfect image capture instead? An optional image-based PDF export is one click away.

How to convert Markdown to PDF

  1. Paste or open your Markdown — drop in text from ChatGPT/Claude, or open a saved .md file.
  2. Choose page options — A4/Letter/Legal, portrait or landscape, margin width and a theme. The preview on the left updates live.
  3. Download PDF — click the button; a formatted PDF saves straight to your device.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert Markdown from ChatGPT or Claude into a PDF?

Copy the Markdown answer from ChatGPT, Claude or any AI chat, paste it into the editor on the right — or open a saved .md file — then click Download PDF and choose "Save as PDF" in the print dialog. The tool renders the Markdown to a formatted document, all inside your browser.

Is the PDF a real document or just a screenshot?

A real document. The Download PDF button uses your browser's native print-to-PDF, so the text stays selectable and searchable and hyperlinks remain clickable — unlike screenshot-based converters that flatten everything into a blurry image. An optional image-based PDF export is available as a fallback.

Is my Markdown uploaded to a server?

No. Both the Markdown-to-HTML rendering and the PDF generation run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your text never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded, stored or logged.

Does it support GitHub Flavored Markdown?

Yes. Tables, fenced code blocks, task lists (checkboxes), strikethrough, blockquotes, headings, ordered and unordered lists, links and images all render correctly in the exported PDF.

Can I change the page size, margins and theme?

Yes. Use the controls on the right to pick A4, Letter or Legal, set the page orientation, choose narrow/normal/wide margins, and switch between Light, Sepia and GitHub themes. These drive both the on-screen preview and the printed PDF page.

Code blocks or tables split across two pages — how do I fix it?

The print styles keep code blocks, tables, images and blockquotes together on one page where possible. If a single block is taller than one page it may still split — switching to landscape orientation or narrower margins usually helps very wide tables and long code.

Is it really free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up and no watermark on your PDF. Because everything runs client-side there are no server costs to pass on.
